whats up

First it was thai punk, then it was Indonesean death metal, then it was australian hip hop, but this trip, it's all about... 60's CAMBODIAN ROCK AND ROLL! I just bought some CDs of this stuff in the markets here in Seam Reap, and it's killer. One of the cds has every song labeled JERK, TWIST, GO GO, etc so you dont get caught doing the wrong dance at your wild Cambodian dance parties. Speaking of dance parties, these are going to get some heavy rotation at the ones this summer on the cape. The best part is i also found a CD of a cambodian producer called Cream who samples only 60's cambodian rock to make remixes for modern day cambodian rappers (like the Phnom Phen Playaz.. c'mon!). He even does some cambodian remixes of Dr. Dre on the CD I got. Like whoah.
Speaking of material goods, many people can be expecting nice gifts from genevieve as she's been going buck wild in the markets lately.
And speaking of gifts, we'd definetely like to thank everybody who gave us gifts for the trip, all of which are proving instrumental allready- Thank you Isabelle for the multitool which i practically wear to sleep every night. I thought a dog ran off with it on Koh Kood and I was devastated. It turned up later, of course tossed into genevieve's pack. Thanks to Britt for the medical kit which i think allreday needs a refill and the umiboshi paste which has been one of the only things that helps with stomach problems. Thanks mom for the passport holders which we've been using on every flight, and G says thanks Tom for the toiletries bag and nail set which she loves. Big ups of course to elliot for the ipod, eventhough it's been out of commision since geneivieve forgot the adaptor with the other stuff in BKK, but we'll have it back soon (cant wait to get to hear that Mars Volta CD again.. dude, mindblowing). Thanks to jesse for the airport card though it's still just a paper card with an airplane on it, it's ok i dont even have my computer with me right now anyway. damn, it's getting late.. ok, lets just say thank you to everyone who gave us anything or wished us luck or thought of us or has seen this site and course to our portential future creditors--koff-- everything is working out great so far. Next stop, Saigon.
